The length of time a fragrance lasts varies based on factors like:

- Type of diffuser

- Environmental conditions

- Intensity settings

With a Pura 4™, a fragrance vial typically lasts up to 6 weeks when using 2 vials on a schedule in a medium-sized room diffusing 6–8 hours per day at medium intensity.

With a Pura Plus™, a fragrance vial typically lasts up to 4 weeks when using 2 vials on a schedule in a large or open concept space under the same conditions.

Pura’s smart fragrance diffusers are designed with Puralast™ diffusion technology, which optimizes scenting based on the intended fill space of each diffuser. Because of this, fragrance vials may last for different lengths of time.

Pura Plus™ diffuses fragrances at a faster rate to fill larger, open-concept spaces efficiently.

Pura 4™ optimizes fragrance diffusion for medium-sized spaces, balancing scent strength and longevity.

Pura Mini™ conserves fragrance while still providing consistent scenting for smaller areas.

Each Pura diffuser is engineered to maximize the fragrance experience in your space while ensuring efficient and effective scent diffusion.

To maximize fragrance longevity, create schedules, set timers, and utilize the Away Mode feature. Running your diffuser when you’re home and turning it off when you’re away or asleep will help conserve fragrance.

Subscriptions are available in 4, 8, and 12-week intervals. If you diffuse less frequently or alternate fragrances, consider a longer subscription interval to ensure you always have scents on hand.

Both Pura 4™ and Pura Plus™ are designed to hold two fragrance vials, allowing you to alternate between two different fragrances throughout the day or week, which extends the life of both.

Your Pura app will notify you when it’s time to replace your vials. You can also monitor usage based on your schedule and intensity settings to estimate when new vials will be needed.

The average user typically operates a Pura diffuser for around 6 to 8 hours per day at medium intensity with two vials plugged using schedules to alternate between two fragrances. 

Under these conditions, you can expect two scents to last:

6 weeks for a Pura 4™ in a medium-sized room

4 weeks for a Pura Plus™ in a large or open concept space
